Objective: To characterize changes in the retinal microvasculature in eyes with birdshot chorioretinopathy (BCR) using OCT angiography (OCTA).
Design: Retrospective, observational, single center.
Subjects: Twenty-eight patients (53 eyes) with BCR and 59 age-matched controls (110 eyes).

Introduction: The "scleroderma" type capillaroscopic pattern is a reference pattern in rheumatology that is a diagnostic sign for systemic sclerosis (SSc) in an appropriate clinical context and is observed in more than 90% of scleroderma patients. Similar microvascular changes, the so-called "scleroderma-like", have been described albeit in a lower proportion of patients with other rheumatic diseases, such as dermatomyositis (DM), undifferentiated connective tissue diseases (UCTD), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), etc. Three distinct stages of "scleroderma" pattern have been suggested by Cutolo .

Introduction: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is both a microangiopathy and a neurodegenerative disease. However, the connections between both changes are not well known.
Purpose: To characterise the longitudinal retinal ganglion cell layer + inner plexiform layer (GCL + IPL) changes and their association with microvascular changes in type-2 diabetes (T2D) patients with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).

Since the introduction of polyelectrolyte multilayers to protein separation in capillary electrophoresis (CE), some progress has been made to improve separation efficiency by varying different parameters, such as buffer ionic strength and pH, polyelectrolyte nature and number of deposited layers. However, CE is often overlooked as it lacks robustness compared to other separation techniques. In this work, critical parameters for the construction of efficient and reproducible Successive multiple ionic-polymer layers (SMIL) coatings were investigated, focusing on experimental conditions, such as vial preparation and sample conservation which were shown to have a significant impact on separation performances.

Purpose: The present study aims to determine the macular and choroidal optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) biomarkers in the assessment and monitoring of diabetic macular edema (DME) and diabetic macular ischemia (DMI) in patients with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).
Methods: In this cohort study, a total of 176 eyes of 110 patients with NPDR were investigated at our institute over a period of 10 months. Eyes were divided into four groups based on the severity of NPDR.
