Introduction: Non-segmental vitiligo (NSV) is an autoimmune condition characterized by melanocyte loss. While skin-specific mechanisms are well-studied, systemic immune dysregulation contributing to NSV pathogenesis remains unclear.
Objective: This study employs a multi-omic single-cell approach to investigate circulating immune cells in NSV, integrating transcriptional and chromatin accessibility data.

Unlabelled: The contributions of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)-specific T cells to vaccine efficacy and durability are unclear. We investigated relationships between mRNA vaccine-induced spike-specific interferon- gamma (IFN-γ) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) T-cell responses and neutralizing antibody development in long-term care home staff doubly vaccinated with BNT162b2 or mRNA-1273. The impacts of pre-existing cross-reactive T-cell immunity on cellular and humoral responses to vaccination were additionally assessed.

Interfacial enzyme catalysis is widespread in both nature and industry. Granular starch is a sustainable and abundant raw material for which a rigorous correlation of the surface structure with enzymatic degradation is lacking. Here pullulanase-catalyzed debranching of 12 granular starches varying in amylopectin contents and branch chain contents and lengths is shown to present a biphasic relationship characteristic of the Sabatier principle.

This study evaluated the immune-enhancing efficacy of Limosilactobacillus fermentum KBL375 isolated from the feces of healthy Koreans. KBL375-treated splenocytes showed enhancement of cytotoxicity against YAC-1 cells, the target of natural killer (NK) cells, with an increase in CD335, granzyme B, perforin, and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). Oral administration of KBL375 in mice with cyclophosphamide (CP)-induced immunosuppression improved body weight and immune functions, including immune organ indices, lymphocyte proliferations, and immunoglobulin (Ig) A levels.

The glycolytic enzyme γ-enolase is a highly specific neuronal marker that is known to replace ubiquitously expressed α-enolase in the brain. Moreover, γ-enolase has been shown to exert neurotrophic activity, which is regulated by cathepsin X, a lysosomal peptidase. This study investigates the role of γ-enolase and its regulation by cathepsin X during the differentiation of oligodendrocytes, which are essential for normal brain function.
