Background: Gamma desynchronization is an early pathophysiological event in Alzheimer's disease with a disturbance in oscillation in the gamma frequency range 30-80 Hz. This disruption was found to be directly related to the disease progression and severity. Thus, the use of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) possessed greater interest.

Background: Changes in speech and language functions have shown to be early symptoms of AD pathology. Recent developments in automatic speech and language processing have opened avenues for objective assessments of these changes. The primary objective of this study is to explore whether speech and language markers extracted from cognitive testing conducted during an automated phone call differ according to underlying AD pathology as measured in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in preclinical or early stage individuals.

Background: The National Institutes of Health Toolbox for Assessment of Neurological and Behavioral Function (NIHTB) was developed to address the need for a brief yet comprehensive instrument to facilitate more uniform assessment in large-scale research studies. Here, we investigated whether the cognitive measures of the NIHTB detect cognitive decline in biomarker-confirmed Alzheimer's disease (AD).
Method: We used data from N = 178 participants (age 76.

Unlabelled: Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) exhibits abnormal functional connectivity of brain networks at multiple frequencies. We used the multilayer network model to address the heterogeneous features at different frequencies and assess the mechanisms of functional integration and segregation of brain networks in JME patients. To address the possibility of false edges or missing edges during network construction, we combined multilayer networks with link prediction techniques.
