Importance: With disparate Black maternal health outcomes in the US and a steadily expanding non-US-born Black population, it is beneficial to investigate Black maternal health outcomes by country of origin.
Objective: To compare the prevalence of maternal morbidity and infant birth outcomes between US-born and non-US-born Black populations in the US.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This cross-sectional study included all registered hospital births in the US from the 2021 National Vital Statistics Systems (NVSS) Natality Data.

Aim: Monochorionic twins are at higher risk of perinatal mortality and morbidity, primarily due to pregnancy-related complications, such as twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). We aimed to investigate whether amplitude-integrated electroencephalography (aEEG) signals are different between monochorionic twins with and without TTTS.
Methods: This was a retrospective single-centre study conducted at Innsbruck Medical University Hospital, Austria.

The global incidence of twin births has substantially increased in recent decades. Twin pregnancies are inherently associated with higher obstetric risks, often resulting in preterm birth and low birth weight, both of which frequently necessitate neonatal intensive care (NICU) interventions. Such interventions can significantly disrupt early breastfeeding practices, contributing to lower exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) rates in twins as compared to singletons.

A 36-year-old primigravida conceived dichorionic diamniotic twins via in vitro fertilization. The first twin experienced premature rupture of membranes at 18 weeks and 5 days of gestation. Despite antibiotic treatment, the first fetus suffered intrauterine fetal death and was delivered three days later at 19 weeks and 1 day.
