Parenteral drug products manufactured under GMP conditions should be visually inspected for defects and particulate contamination by trained and qualified personnel. Although personnel qualification is required, no practical protocols or formal guidelines are available for the development of qualification test sets (QTSs) used for qualification procedures. The current practice is to either procure a standardized QTS from a commercial supplier or amass sufficient manufacturing rejects during visual inspection procedures to compile in-house QTSs.

The impact of home parenteral nutrition (HPN) on the quality of life (QoL) of cancer patients has been previously investigated. However, scarce data are available regarding near-death QoL in patients with cancer receiving HPN. Background And Objectives: This study aimed to investigate readiness for hospital discharge of patients requiring home nutrition support and explore the factors that influence this readiness.
Methods And Study Design: This cross-sectional survey included 220 patients discharged from the general surgery department of a tertiary-care teaching hospital in China with home nutrition support. Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale and Quality of Discharge Teaching Scale scores were calculated and general, disease- and therapy-related information were collected.

Purpose: We aimed to evaluate health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in intestinal failure (IF) patients after different modes of intestinal rehabilitation.
Methods: HRQoL was assessed using the generic 36-item Short Form Survey (SF-36, ver. 2) and visual analogue scale (VAS) in 6 different areas: diet, sleep, gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, diarrhea, musculoskeletal pain, and other symptoms.
