The aim of this study was to explore whether 24-h ambulatory central (aortic) blood pressure (BP) has an advantage over office central aortic BP in screening for hypertension-mediated target organ damage (HMOD). A total of 714 inpatients with primary hypertension and the presence of several cardiovascular risk factors or complications involving clinical HMOD were enrolled. Twenty-four hour central aortic BP was measured by means of a noninvasive automated oscillometric device (Mobil-O-Graph).

Objective: Accurate blood pressure (BP) measurement is crucial for the diagnosis, risk assessment, treatment decision-making, and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. Unfortunately, cuff-based BP measurements suffer from inaccuracies and discomfort. This study is the first to access the feasibility of machine learning-based BP estimation using impedance cardiography (ICG) data.

Objectives: To evaluate the combination of novel colour Doppler ultrasound (CDUS), greyscale ultrasound (GSUS), and oscillometric indices of macroangiopathy in patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM). Second, to explore the associations between these imaging markers and both patient-related and disease-related characteristics, as well as traditional cardiovascular (CV) risk factors.
Methods: We conducted CDUS to evaluate arterial compliance markers, specifically the resistance (RI) and pulsatility (PI) indices, both in the common (CCA) and internal carotid arteries (ICA) of patients with IIM and healthy controls.

Objective: To validate the accuracy of the G.LAB MD6300 oscillometric upper arm blood pressure monitor in the sitting, supine, and right lateral decubitus position in the general population according to the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation/European Society of Hypertension/International Organization for Standardization (AAMI/ESH/ISO) Universal Standard (ISO 81060-2 : 2018+AMD1 : 2020).
Methods: The qualified participants were recruited in the study and the same left-arm sequential method was used for blood pressure measurement according to the Universal Standard.

The importance of accurate blood pressure (BP) measurement is well-established. However, there is little quantitative comparative data on the influence of different measurement conditions on BP or the stability of the oscillometric pulse waveform from which BP is calculated. This study investigates the effect of six different measurement conditions (Quiet, Reading, Speaking, Deep Breathing, Moving, and Tapping) on BP readings in 30 healthy normotensive subjects.
