Radical cystectomy with urinary deviation is performed increasingly in France. Ileal conduit ureteral diversion (ICUD), described by Bricker and widely used after this type of radical resection, leads to substantial anatomic modifications that are potential danger zones during subsequent gastro-intestinal or urinary tract operations. Injury to the urinary diversion apparatus can lead to disastrous complications in these patients who are often elderly and frail.

Internal abdominal hernias develop when one or more viscera extrude through an intraperitoneal orifice but remain within the peritoneal cavity. The orific may be normal (Winslow's foramen) or paranormal (peritoneal fossae: paraduodenal, ileocecal, inter- and mesosigmoidal, paracolic, supravesical, of the large ligament of uterus). All these hernias possess a sac and are true hernias.

Blunt abdominal trauma and delayed colon perforations are not common and usually occur in patients sustaining other injuries, but also as isolated event. We report a case of delayed perforation of sigmoid colon, three days after a blunt abdominal trauma in a male adult. It was caused by disinsertion of sigmoid colon mesentery for about ten centimeters.
