Aim: The evaluation of the influence of continuous transdermal estradiol supplementation combined with oral medroxyprogesterone on the somatotropic axis in postmenopausal women.
Material And Methods: 25 women completed the study Group A--13 women received transdermal 17beta-estradiol (Oesclim 50 - Fournier-Solvay) combined with oral 5 mg daily medroxyprogesterone (Gestomikron - Adamed). Group B--12 women without treatment.

In common with many other groups, nematodes express globins with unknown functions. Nematode globin-like genes can be divided into class 1 globins, similar to vertebrate myoglobins, and a wide range of additional classes. Here we show that class 1 nematode globins possess a huge amount of diversity in gene sequence and structure.

Like pain, dyspnea, or difficulty in breathing, is a strong subjective experience of physiologial distress. Using a model developed by DeVito, this study focused on the emotional aspects of the acute experience of dyspnea in patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on a medical unit and explored nursing activities that eased the intensity of the symptoms. The study was descriptive in design and used a semistructured interview format with four open-ended questions and a numerical self-assessment of dyspnea using the Modified 0-10 Borg Scale (MBS).

In order to evaluate the role of leptin in neonatal hematological parameters, we studied the serum concentrations of leptin in relation to blood hemoglobin, leukocyte and platelet values in 30 healthy term infants.
