Background: Chemical peeling with trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is a well-established modality to improve the appearance of chrono- and photodamaged skin.
Objective: We sought to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel formulation of TCA and hydrogen peroxide for the treatment of chrono- and photodamaged skin.
Methods: Healthy subjects (N=5, 100% female) aged 49 to 72 years and Fitzpatrick Skin Types II (n=2) and III (n=3) enrolled in the Institutional Review Board-approved study.

Objective: Proper characterization of hydatid cyst fluid (HCF) is useful for diagnostic and follow up purposes of cystic echinococcosis/hydatidosis, which is an important zoonotic disease. In this regard, proteomics methods are very helpful. The present study was conducted to compare three protein extraction methods for HCF collected from sheep liver hydatid cysts including, trichloracetic acid (TCA)/Acetone precipitation, TCA/Acetone along with dialysis, and combination of 2-D Clean-up Kit and dialysis followed by two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE), to achieve better resolution in the proteomic characterization of HCF proteins.

Cyromazine and dicyclanil are both used as insect growth regulators. This paper describes an easy and innovative simultaneous extraction method for residues of cyromazine and dicyclanil in food of animal origin, and a confirmation procedure using UHPLC-MS/MS. The sample was extracted, deproteinised by 1% trichloracetic acid in water-acetonitrile, followed by selective defatting using hexane based on the degree of matrix complexity; cleaned-up on an mixed-mode cation exchange (MCX) cartridge; and quantified by using matrix-matched calibration.
