This work aimed to evaluate the potential of spp. in the bioremediation of herbicides and biostimulation of plants in herbicide-contaminated soils. In the first phase, the experiment followed a completely randomized design in a 4 × 3 × 4 factorial scheme with five replications, four strains of spp.

2-Thiohydantoin derivatives, including different substitutions at N-1 and C-5 (5-methyl-, 5-isopropyl-, 1-acetyl-5-methyl-, and 1-acetyl-5-isopropyl-) (1-4, respectively), were synthesized by the known literature methods. In these synthetic pathways, it was reported that enantiomerically pure 2-thiohydantions were obtained in the absence of any solvent via the reaction of L-amino acids with thiourea (1&2) and via the reaction of L-amino acids with NHSCN and acetic anhydride (3&4). However, in this study, in contrary to the previous literature studies, racemic mixtures of 2-thiohydantoins were obtained although the same synthetic methods were used.

Protolysis of AlMe or AlEt with 2-diisopropylphosphinopyrrole () resulted in alane/bis(phosphine) pincer ligands containing two flanking phosphines and a central Al-Me (), Al-Et () unit. Reactions of with [(COD)MI] (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene; M = Rh or Ir) in the presence of pyridine produced pincer complexes ( and ) with M supported by the PAlP tridentate ligand, and pyridine, methyl, and iodide as monodentate ligands for Al or M. The analogous reaction of with [(COD)MI] and pyridine resulted in the formation of the analogous compounds and with hydride in place of methyl.

Background: Aedes aegypti is the primary vector of dengue, chikungunya, and Zika viruses in Colombia. Various insecticides, including pyrethroid, organophosphate, and carbamate insecticides; growth regulators; and biological insecticides, such as Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, have been used to control Ae.

This study assesses the occurrence of emerging contaminants (ECs) from agricultural and livestock production activities along the Salado River (Santa Fe province, Argentina). Of the 23 ECs studied, 8 were detected and quantified in river and wastewater samples, including ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, chlorpyrifos-methyl, albendazole, fenbendazole, levamisole, diazepam, and thiamethoxam. In river samples, the highest concentrations corresponded to ciprofloxacin, chlorpyrifos-methyl, and enrofloxacin.
