Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) over an 8-week period in individuals diagnosed with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) compared to a control group.

Materials And Methods: This prospective, double-blind, placebo-controlled study enrolled 46 participants diagnosed with CP/CPPS, who were randomly assigned to either the treatment group or the control group in a 2:1 ratio. Purpose: With the development of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) technology, the duration of ECMO support has gradually increased, leading to an increased risk of ECMO-related bacterial resistance. Polymyxin B (PMB) is used to treat drug-resistant bacterial infections. However, the pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters of antibiotics may change during ECMO, resulting in over- or under-exposure.

Nitric oxide (NO) was proclaimed the 1992 "molecule of the year" by Culotta in Science magazine because of its importance in neuroscience, physiology and immunology. Inhaled NO has been in clinical use for over 35 years to decrease pulmonary hypertension and improve oxygenation. Over the last 20 years there has been much research to understand the role of nitric oxide on cell surface receptors, mitochondria, and intracellular processes which involve calcium and superoxide radicals.

Background And Objectives: The outcomes and characteristics of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) vary across geographic regions. The etiologies and prognoses of OHCA in Asian populations remain less established. This study aimed to investigate the etiologies and clinical characteristics of patients successfully resuscitated after OHCA and to identify predictors of survival outcomes.
