Ovarian ischemia is a pathological condition that usually occurs due to ovarian torsion, resulting in the interruption of blood supply to the ovaries and oxygen deficiency. Silymarin (SLM) is a flavonoid complex of plant origin with pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiapoptotic effects. In this study, we investigated the effects of SLM through different pathways in rats subjected to experimental ovarian ischemia/reperfusion (I/R).

Acute myeloid leukemia is the expansion of leukemic stem cells which might originate from a stem cell or a progenitor which has acquired self-renewal capacity. An aggregation of leukemic blasts in bone marrow, peripheral blood, and extramedullary tissue will result in acute myeloid leukemia. The main difficulty in treating acute myeloid leukemia is multidrug resistance, leading to treatment failure.

Incidental adrenal masses are frequently detected due to the extensive use of cross-sectional imaging, with about 3% to 7% of adults estimated to have them. Paragangliomas and pheochromocytomas (PPGL), rare tumors originating from paraganglia tissues, including the adrenal medulla, continue to be imaging mimics, necessitating a multimodal approach for accurate diagnosis. We report a case of 72-years male presenting with intermittent pain abdomen for the past 1 year.
