A retrospective analysis was conducted on 151 patients with ankle fractures who were admitted to the hospital from May 2020 to May 2023. The patients were divided into a control group (n=76) using the greater trochanteric plane approach (GTA) and an observation group (n=75) using the suprapopliteal approach (PA).

Background: End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) is an independent risk factor in outcomes for traditional coronary artery bypass grafting (TRAD-CAB) utilizing aortic cross-clamping and cardioplegic arrest. In order to determine if Beating-Heart CABG (BH-CABG) techniques offer benefit in patients with ESRD, an analysis of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) predicted risk versus the actual outcomes was performed.
Methods: Between March 2017 - October 2023, all ESRD patients underwent BH-CABG by a single surgeon at a single institution.
Durable T cell immunity against cancer depends on the continual replenishment of effector CD8+ T cells. Thymic output has been correlated with favorable prognosis in cancer patients across a range of ages, suggesting that the thymus is an important source for replenishing T cells capable of controlling cancer progression. However, the effector potential of thymic mature CD8+ T cells and their regulation have not been clearly defined.
