Hypertension and dyslipidemia are two of the most frequently co-occurring cardiovascular risk factors. The combined regimen of hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), rosuvastatin (ROS), and losartan (LOS) helped in the successful management of both conditions. This work's objective is to develop an eco-friendly, sensitive, simple, and reliable chromatographic method for the simultaneous estimation of HCTZ, ROS, and the LOS ternary mixture in their pure form, and pharmaceutical formulations.

Rationale: Gitelman syndrome (GS) is a rare hereditary electrolyte disorder caused by mutations in the SLC12A3 gene. There is limited literature on the role of hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) testing and the SLC12A3 single heterozygous mutation in the diagnosis and management of patients with GS. In addition, cases of GS with concomitant kidney stones are rare.

Importance: Hypertension is a risk factor for the development and progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is unclear whether different thiazide diuretics have a differential impact on kidney outcomes.
Objective: To compare kidney outcomes in patients with hypertension taking chlorthalidone and hydrochlorothiazide.

Background: High output is a common cause for readmission after new ileostomy creation. The loss of sodium leads to compensatory activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) are first-line therapy for hypertension in the United States.
