Data accumulated in scientific literature indicate that Parkinson's disease develops after infections caused by SARS-CoV-2, West Nile, Coxsackie, St. Louis viruses, Japanese encephalitis B, hepatitis B and C, influenza A, HIV, herpes viruses, flaviviruses. Neuroinvasive West Nile viruses and HIV activate expression of alpha-synuclein.

This article aims to elucidate viral myocarditis in neonates, focusing on a case involving Coxsackie virus, in order to enhance early detection and treatment, and, therefore, mitigating the substantial morbidity and mortality associated with this condition. Our study details the clinical course of a female newborn with Coxsackievirus-induced myocarditis, who underwent diagnostic modalities such as echocardiogram, cardiac magnetic resonance, and serial biomarker analysis, all of which allowed us to outline the disease's natural progression and its response to intervention over time. Based on a literature review we identified 6 similar cases, spanning from 1962 to 2022.

Kaposi varicelliform eruption (KVE) refers to an infectious skin disease that occurs after infection with herpes simplex virus,Coxsackie virus,or other viruses on the basis of preexisting skin diseases,commonly observed in the patients with eczema.It is rare for the patients with erythroderma to be complicated with KVE,and symptoms are often atypical,which pose a challenge to the diagnosis and treatment.This article reports a case of erythroderma complicated with KVE,aiming to raise awareness of clinicians in treating this disease.
