Phthalates are the emerging environmental toxicants derived from phthalic acid and its constituents, which are moderately present in plastics and many personal care products. Phthalate exposure occurs through various environmental factors, including air, water, and soil, with absorption facilitated via ingestion, inhalation, and dermal contact. Upon exposure, phthalates become bioavailable within the biological systems and undergo biotransformation and detoxification processes in the liver.

Background/objectives: The neurometabolic function is controlled by a complex multi-level physiological system that includes neurochemical, hormonal, immunological, sensory, and metabolic components. Functional disorders of monoamine systems are often detected in clinical practice together with metabolic dysfunctions. An important part of the mentioned pathological conditions are associated with disturbances in protein metabolism, some of the most important biomarkers which are aminotransferases and transcription factors that regulate and direct the most important metabolic reactions.

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have garnered attention in research for their potential as biochemical transporters and immune modulators, crucial for regulating the host immune system. The present study was conducted to isolate and characterize EVs from Gram negative bacteria (EVs) and investigate their proteomic profile and immune responses. Isolation of EVs was carried out using ultracentrifugation method.

Nephrotic syndrome is characterised by heavy proteinuria secondary to glomerular injury. It is an uncommon but serious complication of allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), but rarely reported after autologous HSCT. Here, we report the case of a man in his mid-20s who presented with significant peripheral oedema 2 months after autologous HSCT for Hodgkin lymphoma.

Background: Arsenic emerges as most potent hazardous element ranked as number one in ATSDR (Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry) list, can easily accumulate in fish, transported to humans via consumption and affect humans and aquatic organisms. Considering above, current experiment designed to evaluate cyto-genotoxicity and histological alterations induced by arsenic in Labeo rohita used as an animal model.
Methods: By applying complete randomized design sampling acclimatized individuals of Labeo rohita (10 batches of 10 each with triplicates) were exposed to nine definitive doses (12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 mgL) of arsenic in glass aquaria to determine 96-h lethal concentration (LC) of arsenic.
