Red ear syndrome (RES) is a rare clinical entity presenting with paroxysmal erythema of one or both ears associated with a burning sensation or earache. The onset of symptoms could be either spontaneous or triggered by touch, stress, coughing, sneezing, neck movements, chewing, and combing hair. While most cases are usually described in adults, it can rarely present in children.

Objectives: Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination has off-target effects on disease risk for unrelated infections and immune responses to vaccines. This study aimed to determine the immunomodulatory effects of BCG vaccination on immune responses to vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.
Methods: Blood samples, from a subset of 275 SARS-CoV-2-naïve healthcare workers randomised to BCG vaccination (BCG group) or no BCG vaccination (Control group) in the BRACE trial, were collected before and 28 days after the primary course (two doses) of ChAdOx1-S (Oxford-AstraZeneca) or BNT162b2 (Pfizer-BioNTech) vaccination.

Objective: To systematically review the literature for articles evaluating outcomes of drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) directed tongue surgery in children with prior adenotonsillectomy and persistent or recurrent obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and to perform a meta-analysis on the polysomnographic (PSG) data.
Design: Systematic review and metanalysis in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement guidelines.
Outcome Measures: Primary, post-operative apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) and lowest oxygen saturation (LSAT); Secondary, surgical response rate.

Objective: To describe the clinical course and outcome of 33 patients with Kawasaki disease (KD) treated with cyclosporine (CSA) for coronary artery abnormalities (CAA) or treatment resistance.
Study Design: Single-center, retrospective study of patients with KD treated from 2013 through 2023 for CAA or treatment resistance. Demographics, laboratory studies, medications, adverse events, and echocardiographic data were analyzed.
