Background: McKittrick-Wheelock syndrome is an uncommon and severe disorder caused by large hypersecretory tumors located in the distal colorectal area. Excessive secretion from adenomas is an unusual clinical manifestation that leads to severe electrolyte and fluid depletion, subsequently resulting in kidney injury. Successful treatment relies on quick and cooperative decision-making for timely intervention.

This dataset contains demographic, morphological and pathological data, endoscopic images and videos of 191 patients with colorectal polyps. Morphological data is included based on the latest international gastroenterology classification references such as Paris, Pit and JNET classification. Pathological data includes the diagnosis of the polyps including Tubular, Villous, Tubulovillous, Hyperplastic, Serrated, Inflammatory and Adenocarcinoma with Dysplasia Grade & Differentiation.

PGA has been increasingly recognized as a histologically and molecularly distinct entity; however, its endoscopic features have not been precisely described. This study aims to investigate the endoscopic characteristics of duodenal PGA, including the association of their putative precursors, Brunner's gland hyperplasia (BGH), and gastric epithelial heterotopia/metaplasia (GEM/H).
