T-cell receptor recognition of cognate peptide-MHC leads to the formation of signalling domains and the immunological synapse. Because of the close membrane apposition, there is rapid exclusion of CD45, and therefore LCK activation. Much less is known about whether spatial regulation of the intracellular face dictates LCK activity and TCR signal transduction.

N6-methyladenosine modification of host Hsc70 attenuates nucleopolyhedrovirus infection in the lepidopteran model insect Bombyx mori.

Int J Biol Macromol

January 2025

Integrative Science Center of Germplasm Creation in Western China (CHONGQING) Science City & Southwest University, Biological Science Research Center, Southwest University, Chongqing, China; Key Laboratory for Germplasm Creation in Upper Reaches of the Yangtze River, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Chongqing, China. Electronic address:

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most prevalent internal modification on mRNA and plays critical roles in various biological processes including virus infection. It has been shown that m6A methylation is able to regulate virus proliferation and host innate immunity in mammals and plants, however, this antiviral defense in insects is largely unknown. Here we investigated function of m6A and its associated methyltransferases in nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) infection in silkworm.

Improving the regeneration of the tendon-bone interface (TBI) helps to decrease the risk of rotator cuff retears after repair surgeries. Unfortunately, the lack of inherent healing capacity of the TBI, insufficient mechanical properties, and abnormal and persistent inflammation during repair are the key factors leading to suboptimal healing of the rotator cuff. Therefore, a high-strength rotator cuff repair material capable of regulating the unbalanced immune response and enhancing the regeneration of the TBI is urgently needed.

Inflammation-proliferation transition plays a key role in the successful healing of a common burn type, second-degree burn. Gynura procumbens in vitro adventitious root nanohydrogel is currently being studied for its immunomodulatory to improve reparative environment. Root production and nanohydrogel preparation was done respectively by in vitro propagation and emulsion/ solvent diffusion with carbomer as a polymer.

Wearable Biodevices Based on Two-Dimensional Materials: From Flexible Sensors to Smart Integrated Systems.

Nanomicro Lett

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Bio-Inspired Smart Interfacial Science and Technology of Ministry of Education, School of Chemistry, Beihang University, Beijing, 100191, People's Republic of China.

The proliferation of wearable biodevices has boosted the development of soft, innovative, and multifunctional materials for human health monitoring. The integration of wearable sensors with intelligent systems is an overwhelming tendency, providing powerful tools for remote health monitoring and personal health management. Among many candidates, two-dimensional (2D) materials stand out due to several exotic mechanical, electrical, optical, and chemical properties that can be efficiently integrated into atomic-thin films.
