PURPOSE OF THE STUDY The postoperative delirium is a frequent, oftentimes underestimated complication of total hip arthroplasty. Its occurrence is reported to be between 10% and 50%. The postoperative delirium increases mortality, the length of hospital stay and leads to worse functional results.
