Inducing magnetic ordering in a non-ferrous layered double hydroxides (LDHs) instigates higher spin polarization, which leads to enhanced efficiency during oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In nano-sized magnetic materials, the concept of elongated grains drives domain alignment under the application of an external magnetic field. Hence, near the solid electrode interface, modified magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) positively impacts the electrocatalytic ability of non-ferrous nanocatalysts.

The photocatalytic reduction of CO in water to produce fuels and chemicals is promising while challenging. However, many photocatalysts for accomplishing such challenging task usually suffer from unspecific catalytic active sites and the inefficient charge carrier's separation. Here, a site-specific single-atom Ni/TiO catalyst is reported by in situ topological transformation of Ni-Ti-EG bimetallic metal-organic frameworks.

Background: The rapidly evolving pandemic of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has presented with clinical severity, which varies from asymptomatic cases to being fatal in others. The need of the hour is to find meaningful and cost-effective COVID-19 biomarkers out of conventional hematological and biochemical parameters, which will help in the early identification of patients with a poor prognosis, leading to timely intervention.
Aim: The aim was to analyze different biochemical and hematological parameters in COVID-19 patients and also to study the association of these parameters with disease severity.

Nutrients in an aquatic system determine productivity, integrity and ecological status of the aquatic system. However, the excessive enrichment of these nutrients emanating from severe anthropogenic activity has substantially impacted water quality and biodiversity. There is diminutive information available on the water quality and trophic status of the northern Gulf of Lake Tana, Ethiopia due to accessibility difficulties.

Thalassemia is a hematological disorder caused by mutations in the hemoglobin gene, often necessitating regular blood transfusions. These frequent transfusions exert continuous pressure on patients' immune systems. Despite extensive research on the hematological aspects of thalassemia, few studies have explored the immune status of these patients.
