Cyclic di-guanosine monophosphate (c-di-GMP) acts as a second messenger regulating bacterial behaviors including cell cycling, biofilm formation, adhesion, and virulence. Monitoring c-di-GMP levels is crucial for understanding these processes and designing inhibitors to combat biofilm-related antibiotic resistance. Here, we developed a genetically encoded biosensor, cdiGEBS, based on the transcriptional activity of the c-di-GMP-responsive transcription factor MrkH.

This study evaluated the effect of oral cavity environmental factors on the friction and wear of materials used in 3D-printed orthodontic devices. Commercial materials GR-10 (Pro3Dure) and NextDent SG (NextDent) were examined, with samples produced using ASIGA UV MAX and Phrozen Shuffle Lite 3D printers. Our tests included measurements of hardness, stiffness, elastic modulus, cyclic loading, scratch resistance, and tribological assessments in oscillatory motion.

Objective: To evaluate the analytical and diagnostic performance of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibody measured by the light-initiated chemiluminescence assay (LICA).
Methods: A total of 193 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and 211 controls were included. Serum anti-CCP levels were assessed by LICA and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELSIA).

Background: Identification of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in primary care is challenging and often delayed. Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibody testing of people presenting to primary care with new-onset musculoskeletal symptoms without synovitis could help address this; those testing positive are at increased risk of developing RA.
Aim: To explore how primary care clinicians currently identify and refer patients with suspected RA, and the behaviours required to implement a prediction model for guiding targeted anti-CCP testing for non-specific musculoskeletal symptoms in primary care.
