Modern treat-to-target management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) involves titration of drug therapy to achieve remission, requiring close monitoring of disease activity through frequent clinical assessments. Accelerometry offers a novel method for continuous remote monitoring of RA activity by capturing fluctuations in mobility, sedentary behaviours, physical activity and sleep patterns over prolonged periods without the expense, inconvenience and environmental impact of extra hospital visits. We aimed to (a) assess the feasibility, usability and acceptability of wearable devices in patients with active RA; (b) investigate the multivariate relationships within the dataset; and (c) explore the robustness of accelerometry outcomes to downsampling to facilitate future prolonged monitoring.

Background: There remains a significant gap in systematic research on healthcare utilization behaviors and the influencing factors for patients with Parkinson's disease (PD), particularly those in late stages.
Methods: PD patients in late stage (Hoehn and Yahr (HY) stages 4 and 5) and their caregivers from Seoul National University Hospital Movement Disorders Clinic participated. A total of 103 respondents completed a questionnaire covering medical utilization behaviors, perceptions of face-to-face and telemedicine consultations, and additional medical service needs.

Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are vital tools in cardiovascular disease (CVD) research and care, providing insights that complement traditional clinical outcomes like mortality and morbidity. PROMs capture patient experiences with CVD, such as quality of life, functional capacity, and emotional well-being, allowing clinicians to assess how interventions impact daily life. PROMs are integral to cardiovascular investigations as well as management, especially in chronic conditions and rehabilitation, where they inform on the impact of personalized care plans by tracking symptom progression and patient adherence.
