Background: Soft tissue defects on the palm side of the thumb can be effectively covered by using the radial midpalmar (RMP) flap, which is usually harvested as a pedicled flap. However, previous anatomical studies on this flap are limited. We analyzed multidetector-row computed tomography angiograms of the radial midpalm of hands to more precisely characterize the 3-dimensional anatomical structure of the perforators in living patients.

The Single Pedicle Embolization of the Distal Middle Meningeal Artery using n-butyl cyanoacrylate (n-BCA) (SPEED-n technique) offers an innovative approach to treating chronic subdural hematomas by targeting the pathological subdural membranes with precise and efficient embolization.1 2 3 This technical video demonstrates the SPEED-n technique, which employs a single catheter and dilute n-BCA (15-20%) to achieve distal penetration of the middle meningeal artery (MMA) network while minimizing procedure time and risks (video 1).neurintsurg;jnis-2024-022751v1/V1F1V1Video 1-Key features include a stepwise embolization strategy, leveraging inherent MMA anastomoses to ensure comprehensive vascular coverage and reduced non-target embolization.

Introduction: Soft tissue defect in the lower limb presents as a difficult reconstructive challenge. Cross-leg flap was routinely used in the past for the salvage of the lower limb but is seldom used nowadays due to advances in microsurgical procedures.
Case Presentation: We present a case of an 18-year-old male who presented with a complex soft tissue defect of 25 × 10 cm on the anterolateral aspect of the right leg following a motor vehicle accident.

Background: Vertebral body defects pose a significant challenge in spinal reconstructive surgery. Compression fractures of the vertebral corpus are typically treated with vertebral augmentation procedures. There are significant risks associated with the introduction of foreign material in the spine, including infection and pseudarthrosis.
