Fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) results from maternal antibodies targeting fetal platelets during pregnancy, often causing hemorrhagic manifestations detectable antenatally or shortly after birth. We report an atypical form of FNAIT with delayed onset in a healthy, breastfed male infant who developed diffuse petechiae 2 weeks after birth due to severe thrombocytopenia. The mother was shown to be negative for the human platelet antigen-1a (HPA-1a) allele but had anti-HPA-1a IgG antibodies, while the father and newborn were HPA-1a positive, confirming the diagnosis.

Objective: To compare macronutrient levels in milk samples from mothers treated with long-term medications with samples from untreated healthy and disease-matched control mothers (DMCs).

(1) Background: Chagas disease is a public health problem affecting nearly 2 million women of reproductive age in Latin America. From these, 4-8% can transmit the infection to the foetus through the vertical route, whereas horizontal transmission through milk during breastfeeding remains controversial. Background: In Europe, ofatumumab is approved for breastfeeding, but data on its transfer into breast milk and clinical experience are lacking.

Objective: To analyze (1) health, development, and adverse events after live vaccination of ofatumumab-exposed breastfed infants and (2) detectability of ofatumumab in breast milk, and to calculate the relative infant dose (RID) using two methods, the traditional method and a second method considering maternal exposure to multiple ofatumumab doses and extended collection period.

Methods: In this observational study, clinical data were collected by standardized telephone interviews up to 2 years postpartum.
