Peru is among Latin American countries with the largest Indigenous population, yet ethnical health disparities persist, particularly in the Amazon region which comprises 60% of the national territory. Healthcare models that include Indigenous medicine and traditional healers present an important avenue for addressing such inequalities, as they increase cultural adequacy of services, healthcare access, and acknowledge Indigenous Rights for their perspectives to be represented in public healthcare. Background: The classification of uterine sarcomas is based on distinctive morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics, increasingly supported by molecular genetic diagnostics. Data on neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase () gene fusion-positive uterine sarcoma, potentially aggressive and morphologically similar to fibrosarcoma, are limited due to its recent recognition. Pan-TRK immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis serves as an effective screening tool with high sensitivity and specificity for -fusion malignancies.

Chromoblastomycosis (CBM) is a chronic neglected fungal disease that causes serious damage to the physical and mental health of patients. 5-Aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) has garnered significant attention in the recent era for the treatment of CBM and has exhibited promising effects in several clinical case reports. We established a mice footpad infection model with and analyzed the impact of PDT treatment on the immune response of macrophages using single-cell sequencing.

Anti-melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 (anti-MDA5) clinically linked amyopathic dermatomyositis (CADM) is a rare autoimmune condition strongly linked to rapidly progressive interstitial lung disease (RP-ILD), a life-threatening complication. We present a 63-year-old female patient with anti-MDA5-positive CADM, who developed RP-ILD with an imaging pattern consistent with organizing pneumonia. She presented with Gottron's papules, periungual erythema, progressive dyspnea, and anorexia.
