Calyceal rupture, defined as the extravasation of urine from the renal calyces into the perinephric or paranephric spaces, typically results from increased intrapelvic pressure due to urinary tract obstruction. This condition can lead to the formation of a perinephric urinoma and severe complications, such as infection, abscess formation, and impaired renal function. Timely diagnosis and management are crucial to prevent these adverse outcomes.

Introduction: We aim to share the experience of a single center in the management of eight cases of renal primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) which are uncommon, aggressive tumors. The objectives were to study the presentation of the disease, the treatment offered and its outcomes, and the comparison of the treatment with published literature.
Methods: The single-center renal PNET data of all patients were retrospectively reviewed from 2011 to 2022.

A man in his 50s with diabetes presented with backache, left flank pain and fever. On evaluation, he was found to have emphysematous pyelonephritis of the left kidney with a paranephric abscess extending into the posterior abdominal wall and superiorly up to the posterior chest wall and inferiorly extending up to the posterior superior iliac spine. The management involved the initiation of broad-spectrum antibiotics and percutaneous drainage of the abscess.

BACKGROUND Direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) agents, such as rivaroxaban, treat and prevent venous thrombosis. Although adrenal hemorrhage due to DOACs has previously been reported, this is a rare condition that can present as an emergency. In this case report, we present a 65-year-old man who recently had bilateral knee arthroplasty and was started on rivaroxaban 10 mg daily for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prophylaxis following the surgery.

Objective: Choriocarcinoma is a rare malignant disease that is usually associated with a gestational event. Kidney metastasis might be misdiagnosed as renal cell carcinoma or kidney abscess. To the best of our knowledge, only 13 cases of cutaneous metastasis of choriocarcinoma have been reported in the literature so far.
