Objective: Pes planovalgus is the most common foot deformity seen in patients with cerebral palsy (CP). There are several different treatment modalities to treat this condition. Single or double calcaneal osteotomies, extra-articular arthrodesis, calcaneo-cuboido-cuneiform osteotomy, intraarticular arthrodesis, and arthroereisis are some of these modalities.

The treatment of end-stage ankle arthritis associated with extra-articular tibial deformity, especially for ankles deformed by previous traumatic injuries and/or surgical treatment, is extremely challenging but rewarding. Only one previous report describes simultaneous tibial deformity correction and ankle arthrodesis for tibial malalignment and ipsilateral ankle arthritis. Here, we describe a unique case of post-traumatic ankle osteoarthritis concomitant with extra-articular varus deformity in a 77-year-old female.

Unlabelled: Complex intra-articular calcaneal fractures often resulted in secondary pain and deformity, requiring subsequent subtalar arthrodesis. The literature suggests that primary subtalar arthrodesis in the acute period has good functional results. The literature also demonstrates that posterior arthroscopic subtalar arthrodesis for chronic arthritis has favorable results.

Subtalar joint arthrosis is common following intra-articular calcaneus fractures. The appropriate management of pain secondary to posttraumatic arthritis depends on the status of the remaining posterior facet articular cartilage, the magnitude of any residual joint displacement and distortions in the overall morphology of the calcaneus. In select circumstances, joint-preserving surgical techniques may be considered including lateral wall exostectomy, far lateral posterior facet joint debridement, and intra-articular osteotomies.

Background: The objective of the study was to assess clinical and imaging features of rheumatoid arthritis associated with atlantoaxial dislocation (RA-AAD) in comparison to RA without AAD (RA-C) and to identify the associated factors to AAD.
Methods: This was a retrospective comparative study including RA patients over 18 years old. The control group of RA-C was matched according to age (±2 years), gender, and RA duration (±2 years).
