Background: Breeding polled goats is a welfare-friendly approach for horn removal in comparison to invasive methods. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the genetic basis underlying polledness in goats, we conducted whole-genome sequencing of 106 Xinong Saanen dairy goats, including 33 horned individuals, 70 polled individuals, and 3 polled intersexuality syndrome (PIS) individuals.
Methods: The present study employed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) and linkage disequilibrium (LD) analysis to precisely map the genetic locus underlying the polled phenotype in goats.

Background: Testosterone therapy (TTh) has been shown to improve libido in women with sexual dysfunction, but its utilization has been limited due to concern for cardiovascular events and past studies reporting highly variable results.
Aim: To assess the association of TTh in women with major adverse cardiac events (MACEs), including heart attack, stroke, or death, using a large database.
Methods: The TriNetX Diamond Network was queried from 2009 to 2022.

Background/objectives: Sex-specific differences in obesity-related metabolic characteristics of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) have rarely been explored, particularly in children with biopsy-verified NAFLD. The influence of sex hormones on ectopic fat disposition may cause inter-sex differences in various metabolic factors. This study aimed to assess the sex-based differences in ectopic fat and metabolic characteristics in children with NAFLD.

The present study was conducted to assess the attitudes of medical undergraduate students from Indian medical colleges towards the LGBTQIA+ community.
Methods: An online cross-sectional survey was conducted in medical undergraduate students across India, which measured the opinions, beliefs, and acceptance of LGBTQIA+ people using a structured questionnaire uploaded on Google Forms.
