Genital papilloma virus infection (GPVI) is in many patients a longlasting, relapsing disease for which no effective treatment is available. This fact and the association between the virus and cancer puts much stress on the afflicted patient. Of 41 men with GPVI interviewed, 17 (40%) reported a negative effect of the disease on their sexual life. Most distressing was the fear of transmitting the disease to their partner. After 18 months, 15 (37%) of the 41 men still exhibited signs of GPVI. In the care of patients with GPVI, more attention needs to be paid to the psychosexual effects of the disease.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the epidemiology of human papilloma virus (HPV)-related preneoplastic and neoplastic vulvar lesions in a large cohort of women living with HIV (WLWH).
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively selected 1,796 WLWH who had a gynecological examination, cervical cytology, high-risk (HR-) HPV test, vulvoscopy, and colposcopy with targeted biopsies when necessary between 1987 and 2020 at 2 Italian institutions. Univariable and multivariable regression analyses were carried out to test the association of the anamnestic and clinical data with the development of precancerous and cancerous lesions.

Background & objectives The expanded programme on immunization launched in India in 1978, with its focus on preventing six diseases in children (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, poliomyelitis, typhoid, and childhood tuberculosis), was widened in its scope in 1985-86. This new avtaar, the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP), incorporated measles vaccine for children and rubella and adult diphtheria vaccines for pregnant women. We conducted this rapid review on adult immunization relevant for India, as recent COVID-19 experience revealed how newly emergent or re-emergent pathogens could have their onslaughts on the elderly and adults with comorbidities.

In this cohort study a total of 203 women with genital warts, who were referred to gynecology clinic of Shahid Muftah in Yasuj city between 2019 and 2022, were examined and treated by a gynecologist and trained for injection of three doses of Gardasil vaccine after treatment. Of these, 138 women completed the study. Half of them who received three doses of the Gardasil vaccine, aligned in vaccinated group and the other half served as the unvaccinated group.
