Background: In recent years, there have been suggestions for new restorative strategies that aim to effectively utilize modern adhesive technologies and protect the remaining intact tooth structure. Therapeutic efficacy and safety of adeno-associated virus (AAV) liver gene therapy depend on capsid choice. To predict AAV capsid performance under near-clinical conditions, we established side-by-side comparison at single-cell resolution in human livers maintained by normothermic machine perfusion. AAV-LK03 transduced hepatocytes much more efficiently and specifically than AAV5, AAV8 and AAV6, which are most commonly used clinically, and AAV-NP59, which is better at transducing human hepatocytes engrafted in immune-deficient mice.

Recent advancements in multiple myeloma (MM) treatment-including immunomodulatory drugs, proteasome inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, and T cell-redirecting therapies like chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and bispecific antibodies (BsAbs)-have significantly improved patient outcomes. However, MM remains incurable, highlighting the need for novel therapeutic strategies. BsAbs, which simultaneously target a tumor-specific antigen and CD3 on T cells, have shown promising efficacy.

When evaluating reproductive care for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer+ patients, there are multiple factors that must be addressed from a clinician, clinic, and social standpoint. Clinicians should be trained in culturally humble and trauma-informed care; clinics should have intake forms that identify sexual orientation, gender identity, and pronouns. The clinic environment should be inclusive, with all gender or single-stall bathrooms, and patient-facing educational materials that are representative of individuals with diverse partnerships, races, and ethnicities.
