Range of Flexion Improvement in Degenerative Stages of the First Metatarsophalangeal Joint () with Cross-Linked Hyaluronic Acid: A Cadaveric Study.

J Funct Morphol Kinesiol

December 2024

Human Anatomy and Embryology Unit, Experimental Pathology and Therapeutics Department, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Barcelona, 08907 Hospitalet, Spain.

Background: Viscosupplementation consists of intraarticular hyaluronic acid injections applied to treat pain and improve joint mobility. The objective of the study was to analyze the improvement of the range of mobility of the first metatarsophalangeal joint with a single dose of cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

Methods: Ten fresh frozen specimens of feet sectioned below the knee were selected.

Background: Lower extremity peripheral artery disease frequently presents with calcifications which reduces the accuracy of computed tomography (CT) angiography, especially below-the-knee. Photon-counting detector (PCD)-CT offers improved spatial resolution and less calcium blooming. We aimed to identify the optimal reconstruction parameters for PCD-CT angiography of the lower legs.

Measurements of All-Particle Energy Spectrum and Mean Logarithmic Mass of Cosmic Rays from 0.3 to 30 PeV with LHAASO-KM2A.

Phys Rev Lett

March 2024

Key Laboratory of Particle Astrophysics and Experimental Physics Division and Computing Center, Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 100049 Beijing, China.

We present the measurements of all-particle energy spectrum and mean logarithmic mass of cosmic rays in the energy range of 0.3-30 PeV using data collected from LHAASO-KM2A between September 2021 and December 2022, which is based on a nearly composition-independent energy reconstruction method, achieving unprecedented accuracy. Our analysis reveals the position of the knee at 3.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the effect of multidimensional spiritual psychotherapy on anxiety, depression, and attitude towards self and god in bone cancer patients after amputation.

Method: Forty one cancer patients with a history of Below-The-Knee amputation were recruited in this quasi-experimental study. The design included pre-and post-tests in experimental and control  groups.

Objective: The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of drug-coated balloon (DCB) and drug-eluting stents (DESs) to standard endovascular techniques like percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and bare metal stent (BMS) for treating infrapopliteal artery disease.

Methods: Including 8 DCB trials and 4 DES trials, this meta-analysis of 12 recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) is comprehensive. We searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, Science of Web, Cochrane, and PubMed for this meta-analysis.
