Aims: This study investigates the potential of Bifidobacterium bifidum 1,007,478 (BB478) and its metabolite indole-3-lactic acid (ILA) in alleviating non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) induced by a high-fat diet (HFD) and fructose exposure.

Materials And Methods: A zebrafish model of NASH was established by exposure to HFD and fructose. BB478 was administered, and the effects on liver lipid accumulation, oxidative stress, and inflammation were assessed.

Timosaponin AⅢ(TAⅢ), derived from the Chinese medicinal herb Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bunge, has been reported to have a range of pharmacological effects including improvement of learning and memory deficits, anti-tumor, hypoglycemic effect and anti-hypertension. This study explored the therapeutic effects and preliminary mechanisms of TAⅢ in improving insulin resistance in ob/ob mice. We found that treatment with 10 mg·kg·d of TAⅢ reduced the expression of SREBPs and alleviated ectopic lipid deposition by decreasing DAG accumulation in liver.

Global warming causes the release of dioxin-like deposits and increases geographical migration, increasing the risk of exposure for humans and animals. In this experiment, we used CYP1A transgenic zebrafish Tg (cyp1a: mCherry) and liver fluorescent transgenic zebrafish Tg (fabp10: Ps Red) as an animal model and exposed to 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-Dioxin (TCDD) at 26 °C and 30 °C, respectively. Morphological changes, histological changes, transcriptome and related genes expression were detected.

Fatty liver hemorrhage syndrome (FLHS) is the most common metabolic diseases in laying hens during the late-laying period, and it causes a significant economic burden on the poultry industry. The competing endogenous RNA plays crucial roles in the occurrence and development of fatty liver. Based on the previously constructed lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA networks, we selected the axis of ENSGALT00000079786-LPL-miR-143-5p for further study to elucidate its mechanistic role in development of fatty liver.

Transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) is a sensory channel expressed in vagal afferent nerves that detect noxious stimuli. Trpa1 knockout accelerates age-related cardiac fibrosis and dysfunction in mice. This study investigated whether TRPA1 activation with its selective agonist, allyl isothiocyanate (AITC), prevents cardiac aging.
