Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the optical, mechanical, and biological properties of two new, inexpensive lithium disilicate (LS2) materials (Lodden (LOD), LD Medical Technology; and BeautyZir (BZ), BeautyZir Technology) to a clinically established LS2 material (IPS e.max CAD (EMAX), Ivoclar Vivadent).

Methods And Materials: The optical properties of the translucency parameter (TP) and opalescence parameter (OP) were obtained with a dental spectrophotometer.

Background: Dental problems are common among seafarers due to unique environmental, occupational, and lifestyle factors that may impact their dental health. This study aims to assess the prevalence of dental and periodontal problems among Thai seafarers.

Congenital infiltrating lipomatosis of the face is a rare aggressive-benign disorder characterized by progressive hemifacial overgrowth and complex, often asymmetrical, facial differences. Recently linked with the PIK3CA-Related Overgrowth Spectrum, it arises from mosaic mutations in the PIK3CA gene.
