Arterial occlusive events (AOE) are rare adverse event in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitor such as ponatinib. We treated a 47-year-old woman with chronic myeloid leukemia. She was failed to achieve optimal molecular response in prior two lines tyrosine kinase inhibitors treatment (dasatinib and bosutinib) for first 30 months.

Cytokines are involved in all stages of atherosclerosis, generally contributing to disease progression. Previously, members of the Interleukin (IL)-6 cytokine family, such as IL-6, oncostatin M, and cardiotrophin-1, have been extensively studied in atherosclerosis. However, the role of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), member of the IL-6 family, and its receptor (LIFR), remains to be further elucidated.

Clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) has emerged as a previously unrecognized, potent, age-related, and common risk factor for atherosclerosis. Somatic mutations in certain known leukemia driver genes give rise to clones of mutant cells in peripheral blood. The increased risk of developing hematologic malignancy does not, on its own, explain excess mortality in individuals with CHIP.

Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) decreases cardiac function and efficiency. Accumulating evidence suggests that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been linked to the cellular processes of myocardial I/R injury. The present investigation elucidated the function of lncRNA colon cancer-associated transcript 2 (CCAT2) in myocardial I/R injury and the related mechanisms.

Background And Aims: Atherosclerosis is a chronic lipid-driven inflammatory disease largely influenced by hemodynamics. Neutrophil extracellular trap (NET)-mediated inflammation plays an important role in atherosclerosis. However, little is known about the relationship between low shear stress (LSS) and NET generation, as well as the underlying mechanism.
