Constructed wetland (CW) technology has attracted much attention due to its economical and environmentally friendly features. The low dissolved oxygen (DO) and low carbon/nitrogen (C/N) ratio in the wetland influent water affect the treatment performance of CW, resulting in a decrease in the removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen (NH -N) and nitrate nitrogen (NO -N). In order to address this problem, this study optimized the pollutants removal performance of unsaturated vertical flow constructed wetland (UVFCW) by adding sustained-release carbon sources (corn cobs + polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT)).

The full utilization of active sites and the effective Fe/Fecycling are the key problems that expand the application of iron-based Fenton-like reaction in water purification. In this paper, a novel diatomic Fe/Mo catalyst (Fe/Mo-DACs) was used to enhance the interfacial reaction mechanism with oxidant to achieve more stronger selective degradation of electron-donating organic pollutants. The availability of Fe sites during the activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) was enhanced by the adjacent atomic Mo sites, and the resulting special interfacial complex (Fe/Mo-DACs-PMS*) possessed higher activity, stability and selectivity (especially for electron-donating organics).

Top-down analysis of intact proteins and middle-down analysis of proteins subjected to limited digestion require efficient detection of traces of proteoforms in samples, necessitating the reduction of sample complexity by thorough pre-fractionation of the proteome components in the sample. SDS-PAGE is a simple and inexpensive high-resolution protein-separation technique widely used in biochemical and molecular biology experiments. Although its effectiveness for sample preparation in bottom-up proteomics has been proven, establishing a method for highly efficient recovery of intact proteins from the gel matrix has long been a challenge for its implementation in top-down and middle-down proteomics.
