Background: Clozapine exhibits significant therapeutic efficacy in schizophrenia, especially treatment-resistant schizophrenia. However, clozapine can cause agranulocytosis, a fatal adverse effect, and the aim of this study is to explore this mechanism based on network pharmacology and molecular docking.
Method: Six and two databases were used to identify targets associated with clozapine and agranulocytosis, respectively.

Magnusiomyces capitatus is an environmental fungus found in soil, water, air, plants, and dairy products which may cause opportunistic infections in patients with haematological disorders resulting in high mortality rates. This series of the first reported cases in Ireland discusses investigation of two patients with underlying haematological disorders, hospitalised in the Irish National Adult Stem Cell Transplant Unit (NASCTU), who developed line-related fungaemias with M. capitatus within a three-month period.

Although the phase III SUNLIGHT trial has demonstrated the survival benefit of the addition of bevacizumab (Bmab) to trifluridine/thymidine phosphorylase inhibitor (FTD/TPI), neutropenia, which frequently occurs during FDT/TPI + Bmab therapy, is a concern for clinicians. As TPI is excreted by the kidneys, the risk of adverse events is likely to be high in patients with an impaired renal function. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between renal impairment and the incidence of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia during FTD/TPI + Bmab therapy using real-world data.

This study aimed to investigate the clinical value of glucocorticoids in patients with neutropenic severe pneumonia at moderate to high risk according to the Pneumonia Severity Index (PSI) in patients with hematologic diseases. Clinical data were collected from 534 patients at the Fujian Medical University Union Hospital from October 2016 to December 2018. We evaluated the changes in inflammatory cytokines, treatment failure, in-hospital mortality, and other outcomes, adjusting for potential confounders through propensity score matching.

Introduction: Febrile neutropenia is one of the most serious complications in patients with hematological malignancies and chemotherapy. Channa striata is a freshwater fish belonging to the family Channidae. This study aims to determine whether the administration of channa striata extract can increase neutrophil count, neutrophil function and prevent incidence of febrile neutropenia in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients receiving chemotherapy.
