Purpose: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder and the primary cause of anovulatory infertility among women aged 15-49 years. Despite its significance, it has been largely overlooked in global health discussions, with persistently high prevalence and incidence rates. This public health challenge necessitates attention both domestically and internationally.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between Non-High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol to High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio (NHHR) and infertility in US female adults aged 20 to 45.
Methods: Our research team utilized data from the 2013-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to conduct a cross-sectional study. Multivariable logistic regression was conducted to examine the association between NHHR and infertility, with trend tests providing additional insight into this relationship.

To assess whether infertile women's psychological conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, are associated with in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes, we systematically searched for relevant articles from January 1, 2004, to March 29, 2024, in five databases, including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and PsycINFO. A random-effects model was used to examine pooled standardized mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence interval (CI). A total of 29 articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were included in this meta-analysis.

Estrogen through its receptors, ERα and ERβ, regulate various aspects of spermatogenesis and male fertility. Since the sperm epigenome is an important contributing factor to male fertility, we evaluated the effects of estrogen signaling activation through the ERs on sperm DNA methylome in adult rats. Whole genome-bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) in caudal sperm DNA was performed.

Methods: This serial cross-sectional study queried the Agency of Healthcare Research and Quality's Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project National Inpatient Sample. The study population was 16,759,786 hospital deliveries from 2016 to 2020.
