Introduction: Lower limb length discrepancy (LLD) following hip arthroplasty after proximal femoral fracture (PFFA) is little studied. The aim of this work was to answer the following questions: 1) What are the incidence and mean values of LLD after PFFA? 2) What are the clinical consequences (tolerance) of LLD after PFFA? 3) Can we identify risk factors for LLD after PFFA? 4) Is there a significant difference in terms of LLD after PFFA to treat intra- versus extra-capsular fractures?
Hypothesis: LLD after proximal femoral fracture arthroplasty is rare but has good clinical tolerance, given the low functional demands of the patients.
Patients And Methods: This is a multicenter prospective observational cohort study (15 centers), including 590 patients, operated on for hip arthroplasty for proximal femur fracture between May 2022 and June 2023.

Background: Efgartigimod, a human immunoglobulin G (IgG)1-derived Fc fragment targeting the neonatal Fc receptor, has been developed into intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SC) formulations for treating generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) and other autoimmune diseases. Data in the Chinese population were not available to date, and while both formulations have been approved in the USA, the EU, Japan and China for the treatment of gMG.
Objective: We present the pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and safety of IV and SC PH20 efgartigimod in healthy Chinese participants.

The evaluation of estimated GFR (eGFR) is a pivotal staging step in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), and renal ultrasound plays an important role in diagnosis, prognosis and progression of CKD. The interaction between histopathological diagnosis and ultrasound parameters in eGFR determination has not been fully investigated yet. The study examined the results of native kidney biopsies performed in 48 Italian centers between 2012 and 2020.

Background Neuromuscular blocking agents are crucial for anesthesia but can cause reversible paralysis, leading to risks like postoperative residual dysfunction. Undetected paralysis in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) jeopardizes patient safety by impairing airway function and increasing complications. Effective reversal, assessed clinically or via nerve stimulation, is critical to prevent residual postoperative curarization (RPOC), which is linked to significant morbidity and mortality.
