Report on a female infant with iris coloboma on the right and microphthalmia/orbital cyst on the left, single nostril, radial defectis, abnormal lung lobation, congenital heart defect, hypoplastic spleen, absent gallbladder, microgastria, unilateral renal aplasia, arhinencephaly and fused thalami. This case represents an unusually severe expression of a probably rare association recently reviewed by Lueder et al. (1989).

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is a globally severe cancer with an unfavorable prognosis. PANoptosis, a form of cell death regulated by PANoptosomes, plays a role in numerous cancer types. However, the specific roles of genes associated with PANoptosis in the development and advancement of ccRCC remain unclear.

Several mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) cultivars are susceptible to Cercospora leaf spot (CLS) caused by Cercospora canescens Ellis & Martin, and it is necessary to explore resistance sources and understand resistance mechanisms. However, the CLS resistance mechanisms have not yet been explored.

GABA receptors mediate prolonged inhibition in the brain and are important for keeping neuronal excitation and inhibition in a healthy balance. However, under excitotoxic/ischemic conditions, GABA receptors are downregulated by dysregulated endocytic trafficking and can no longer counteract the severely enhanced excitation, eventually triggering neuronal death. Recently, we developed interfering peptides targeting protein-protein interactions involved in downregulating the receptors.

Aim: The activation of the complement system is accompanied by the occurrence and development of preeclampsia, as well as kidney diseases. Here, the role of complement C3 [C3] in renal injury in preeclampsia was explored, and its potential application as an early diagnostic biomarker or drug target to ameliorate kidney injury induced by preeclampsia was preliminarily evaluated.
Method: A total of 48 subjects were included in the present study, and the complement C3 levels and renal function were analyzed.

Purpose: Essential tremor (ET) is a prevalent movement disorder, yet current therapeutic options remain limited. Emerging evidence implicates leucine-rich repeat and immunoglobulin-like domain-containing protein (Lingo-1) and neuroinflammation in the pathophysiology of ET. This study aimed to investigate whether agmatine, a biogenic amine neuromodulator attenuates tremors and modulates the expression of Lingo-1 and proinflammatory markers in a rodent model of ET.
