Background And Objectives: Mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE) is generally associated with focal brain atrophy, but little knowledge exists on possible disease-related hypertrophy of brain structures. We hypothesized that repeated seizures or adaptive plasticity may lead to focal brain hypertrophy and aimed to investigate associated clinical correlates.
Methods: In this cohort study, we included patients with mTLE undergoing detailed epilepsy evaluations and matched healthy volunteers (HVs) from 2 tertiary centers (discovery and validation cohorts).

: We aimed to clarify the clinical characteristics of global and regional myocardial perfusion in patients with transthyretin type of cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR) using dual single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) with Tc pyrophosphate (PYP) and TL (TL). : Consecutive 178 (mean age 78±12, male 79) patients known or suspect of ATTR who underwent PYP-TL dual SPECT were retrospectively enrolled. Patients were categorized according to the visual grading for planar PYP uptake using Perugini grading, and the patients with grade greater than or equal to 2 were analyzed.

Objective: Temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA) has been modeled in different ways with a lack of uniformity. We aimed to investigate four TMJOA mouse models and assess histopathological changes in condyles, which could assist in the selection of animal models in further TMJOA-related studies.
Design: Four TMJOA mouse models were established, including unilateral hyperocclusion, discectomy, monosodium iodoacetate injection and aged model.
