Acroparesthesia is a symptom characterized by a subjective sensation, such as numbness, tingling, prickling, and reduced sensation, affecting the extremities (fingers and toes). Despite its frequency, data regarding its diagnostic approach and management are scarce. The etiological diagnosis of acroparesthesia is sometimes challenging since it can be due to abnormality anywhere along the sensory pathway from the peripheral nervous system to the cerebral cortex.

Introduction The surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) has been enriched, during the last years, by different minimally invasive techniques to decompress the median nerve at the wrist as the endoscopic approaches or modified open technique. However, controversy remains about their safety and complication rate. We present the results of our minimally-invasive technique to median nerve release at the wrist.

Purpose: Report a case series study of individuals who, after having a suspected arboviral disease during an epidemic outbreak in north-eastern Brazil, presented symptoms of acroparesthesia.
Methods: A retrospective evaluation of patients with acroparesthesia undertaken between December 2015 and October 2016 following a clinical picture suggestive of an arboviral infection.
Results: Clinical and electrophysiological data were obtained from 29 individuals.

Carpal tunnel syndrome can be the result of a wide variety of etiologic factors. Compressive causes are rare and tumors causing compression are even rarer. We present a case with a carpal tunnel syndrome caused by an intraneural lipoma and an arteriovenous malformation concomitantly.

Objectives: Fabry disease is a rare X-linked metabolic disorder characterized by a deficiency in the enzyme alpha-galactosidase A. Both males and females can be affected. The main presenting symptom is pain in the extremities, whereas at a more advanced stage, the manifestations include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiac dysrhythmia, proteinuria, chronic kidney dysfunction, stroke, and hearing loss.
