Binuclear silver(I) and copper(I) complexes, and , with bridging diphenylphosphine ligands were prepared. In , the silver(I) center is located inside a trigonal plane composed of three phosphorus donors from three separate and bridging dppm ligands. The fourth coordination site is filled with neighboring silver(I) ions.

Dimethoate is a toxic organophosphorus insecticide and its contamination of water poses a threat to the surrounding ecosystem. In order to enhance the removal effect of ferrate (Fe(VI)) on dimethoate, modified graphene-like biochar (SIZBC) with reduction and adsorption properties was prepared in this study. Compared with Fe(VI) alone, the removal of dimethoate by Fe(VI)/SIZBC increased from 26 % to more than 97 %, and the reaction rate was accelerated by 34 times.

The groundwater at the Sardas landfill in Huesca, Spain, is contaminated with benzene, chlorobenzenes, and hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) isomers due to illegal waste dumping from a former lindane factory. In this study, microcosms using field-derived groundwater to evaluate in situ bioremediation were constructed. Anaerobic biostimulation with lactate successfully transformed α-, β-, δ-, and γ-HCH within two weeks, but failed to degrade benzene and less chlorinated benzenes, even with nutrient addition.

The effects of pirimiphos-methyl have previously been assessed on blood-sucking insect species, pollinating insects, and target crop pest species. The sensitivity of non-target zoophagous and saprophage species to this insecticide remains largely unstudied. In laboratory conditions, we assessed the susceptibility of 43 species of invertebrates to pirimiphos-methyl.

In this paper, a novel ratiometric fluorescent probe based on silicon quantum dots (SiQDs) has been developed for the sensitive detection of methyl parathion pesticide residues. The silicon quantum dots were prepared by a simple hydrothermal reaction process using 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) as silicon resource and were characterized by the analysis of transmission electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The silicon quantum dots displayed characteristic blue fluorescence emission at 440 nm.
