Over the past decade, fentanyl-type new psychoactive substances (F-NPS) have emerged as the most representative synthetic opioids in third-generation drugs. These substances are characterized by their "low" fatal dose and parent drug levels in biological matrices, "fast" rates of derivatization and metabolism, and "many" derivatization sites and analogs. The low levels of parent fentanyl NPS in biological matrices complicate their detection, necessitating the use of characteristic metabolites as biomarkers for forensic analysis.

Background: Circular RNA represents a distinctive form of noncoding RNA resulting from back-splicing of exons and introns in mRNA. CircRNA has been shown play important roles in neurological diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). Some recent studies also have demonstrated circRNA is enriched in the mammal brain and differentially altered during AD.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder that results in the accumulation of amyloid-beta, neurofibrillary tangles, and progressive cognitive decline. Despite extensive research into the pathophysiology of AD and potential treatments, a definitive cure remains elusive. Appropriate in vitro cell models are crucial for understanding pathophysiology and drug screening for AD.

Background: Dysfunctional microglial activity has recently been identified as a potential mechanism leading to accumulation of amyloid beta and pTau and subsequent neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's Disease. The CX3CR1/fractalkine axis serves as a mechanism for bi-directional communication between microglia and neurons, respectively, to promote a resting, anti-inflammatory state in microglia. Previous studies have demonstrated that deficiency in CX3CR1 signaling leads microglia to a more pro-inflammatory phenotype, phagocytic deficits, and increased susceptibility of neurons to cell death.

Aim: The aim is to evaluate and compare stress distribution characteristics of ball, magnet, and positioned attachment systems in single and double implant-retained overdentures using the finite element method (FEM).
Setting And Design: In vitro (in silico study) finite element analysis (FEA).
Materials And Methods: A Styrofoam mandible with duplicated silicon mucosa was used to construct a mandibular complete denture.
