The Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) is the second most commonly used performance-based task. However, traditional TAT administration is time-consuming and raises accessibility issues. Research exploring administration modifications has found that within a lab setting, having participants type their own narratives leads to richer responses than when participants narrate the stories out loud to an examiner.

Objectives: HIV-1 Tat (transactivator of transcription) protein disrupts dopaminergic transmission and potentiates the rewarding effects of cocaine. Allosteric modulators of the dopamine transporter (DAT) have been shown to reverse Tat-induced DAT dysfunction. We hypothesized that a novel DAT allosteric modulator, SRI-30827, would counteract Tat-induced potentiation of cocaine reward.

Integrated switches play a crucial role in the development of reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs) that have greater flexibility and compactness, ultimately leading to robust single-chip solutions. Despite decades of research on switches with various structures and platforms, achieving a balance between dense integration, low insertion loss (IL), and polarization-dependent loss (PDL) remains a significant challenge. In this paper, we propose and demonstrate a 32 × 4 optical switch using high-index doped silica glass (HDSG) for ROADM applications.

Objectives: Add-on testing refers to the process that occurs in clinical laboratories when clinicians request that additional tests be performed on a previously analysed specimen. This is a common but inefficient procedure, highly time-consuming, especially at core laboratories and could be optimised by automating these procedures. The aims of this study are: 1) To describe patterns of add-on testing at a core laboratory at a tertiary hospital, 2) To evaluate turnaround time (TAT) before and after automation of the pre-, post- and analytical phases.

Self-sensing actuators are critical to artificial robots with biomimetic proprio-/exteroception properties of biological neuromuscular systems. Existing add-on approaches, which physically blend heterogeneous sensor/actuator components, fall short of yielding satisfactory solutions, considering their suboptimal interfaces, poor adhesion, and electronic/mechanical property mismatches. Here, a single homogeneous material platform is reported by creating a silver-polymer framework (SPF), thus realizing the seamless sensing-actuation unification.
