Background: Acute systemic inflammation affects many organs and it occurs in a wide range of conditions such as acute lung injury (ALI). Inflammation-triggered oxidative pathways together with the caspase activation seen in ALI, result in apoptosis. Dapagliflozin (DPG) is an agent that is known to have oxidative stress-reducing and anti-inflammatory effects in many tissues.

An immunogenicity risk assessment (IRA) is a relatively new expectation of health authorities that is increasingly incorporated into the drug development process across the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. The guiding principle for an IRA includes a comprehensive evaluation of product- and patient-related factors that may influence the immunogenic potential of a biotherapeutic drug and a potential action plan. The Immunogenicity Working Group from the IQ Consortium (Clinical Pharmacology Leadership Group) has conducted a survey to understand the current practices for conducting IRAs and relevant aspects of bioanalysis.

This paper describes a method for determining the cytotoxicity of chemical compounds based on the detection of fluorescent proteins-in this case, green fluorescent protein (GFP) and red fluorescent protein (RFP), which are released into the medium from dead cells. This method is similar in principle to the lactate dehydrogenase test (LDH test), but it does not require a reaction with a chromogenic substrate. This method also makes it possible to independently determine the viability of different lines when used in cocultures.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether Trypanosoma vivax is transmitted via rectal palpation in cattle, using the same glove with different blood scores, from an animal with an acute infection of this protozoan. In addition, the efficacy of iodine as disinfectant, together with water with or without the presence of feces, to prevent the transmission of T. vivax in cattle during the rectal palpation process was evaluated in the laboratory and animals.

Scientists investigated probiotic-containing dressings to address the challenges associated with burn injuries, namely infection and antimicrobial resistance. The present investigation sought to evaluate the impact of innovative probiotic-loaded microparticles with in situ gelling characteristics on infected burns. The strain, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, was selected due to its demonstrated wound-healing potential.
