The landscape of available therapeutic options for treatment of genitourinary (GU) cancers is expanding dramatically. Many of these treatments have distinct, sometimes severe, skin toxicities including morbilliform, bullous, pustular, lichenoid, eczematous, psoriasiform, and palmoplantar eruptions. Pruritus and skin pigmentation changes have also been noted.

Focal therapy (FT) is an emerging option for intermediate-risk prostate cancer (IR-PCa). Transperineal MRI fusion laser ablation of PCa (TPFLA) is a novel FT technique with limited data reported. We conducted a phase I clinical trial evaluating the safety, feasibility, and 1-year oncologic results for patients with IR-PCa treated with TPFLA in an office setting.

Cancer screening is considered to be a major strategy for combatting cancer. The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends screening for five cancers, but the strength of evidence about the effectiveness of screening is limited. Prostate cancer represents the predominant malignant neoplasm observed in the male population and ranks second in terms of mortality attributable to malignant neoplasm among men. Decursinol angelate (DA), derived from the plant Nakai (AGN), has demonstrated anti-cancer effectiveness through the induction of intrinsic and extrinsic apoptosis pathways, inhibition of cancer cell proliferation, having anti- neovascularization, anti-inflammatory anti-oxidative activities and stimulating the immune process. The aim of this study was to determine the IC50 dose of DA on human prostate cancer cell line PC-3, as well as to assess its effects on cell viability and apoptosis.

This retrospective study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and proton beam therapy (PBT). A total of 606 patients diagnosed with prostate cancer between January 2008 and December 2018 were included. Of these patients, 510 received PBT up to a dose of 70-78 Gy (relative biological effectiveness) and 96 patients received IMRT up to a dose of 70-78 Gy.
