Background: With the implementation of the hierarchical medical system (HMS) in China, Zhejiang Province introduced an innovative payment scheme called "payment method by disease types with point counting". This scheme was initially adopted in Jinhua in July 2017, and was later integrated with the "same disease, same price" policy in Hangzhou in January 2020. Background: Globally, totally laparoscopic total gastrectomy is increasingly being accepted by surgeons for the treatment of gastric cancer. Overlap anastomosis and π-shaped anastomosis are the two most commonly used anastomosis methods in total laparoscopic surgery; however, their safety and suitability for the population are still unclear.
Methods: A total of 162 consecutive patients with gastric cancer who underwent total laparoscopic total gastrectomy with overlap or π-shaped anastomosis were retrospectively analyzed.

Objective: To explore the correlation between posterior fossa crowding and the occurrence of classical trigeminal neuralgia (TN).
Methods: A total of 60 patients diagnosed with classical TN and 60 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were included as a control group for a case-control study. All subjects underwent high-resolution 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations (including 3D-FIESTA and 3D-TOF MRA sequences).

The aim of this study was to examine the association between homocysteine (Hcy), uric acid (UA) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and to explore whether there was an interaction between Hcy and UA in the development of T2DM. A total of 1250 diabetic patients and 1250 non-diabetic controls were included in this case-control study. Binary logistic regression and interaction analysis were used to evaluate the association between Hcy, UA, and T2DM, and the combined effects of Hcy and UA on T2DM, respectively.

Removal of the buccal fat pad can be considered safe as long as there is a detailed analysis of anatomical landmarks. The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of intra- and postoperative complications resulting from buccal fat pad removal through a systematic review. The search strategy involved observational and/or interventional studies in humans that included at least one case of buccal fat pad removal with a description of the surgery, postoperative progress, and complications.
