Objective: This study investigated upper limb kinematics and muscle co-activation in wheelchair tennis players during the forehand stroke. By analyzing linear and angular kinematic variables alongside muscle co-activation patterns, the study aimed to provide insights into the biomechanical mechanisms supporting forehand stroke performance.
Method: Fifteen professional male wheelchair tennis players (height: 163.

Creating durable, motion-compliant neural interfaces is crucial for accessing dynamic tissues under in vivo conditions and linking neural activity with behaviors. Utilizing the self-alignment of nano-fillers in a polymeric matrix under repetitive tension, here, we introduce conductive carbon nanotubes with high aspect ratios into semi-crystalline polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels, and create electrically anisotropic percolation pathways through cyclic stretching. The resulting anisotropic hydrogel fibers (diameter of 187 ± 13 µm) exhibit fatigue resistance (up to 20,000 cycles at 20% strain) with a stretchability of 64.

Background: Vocal therapy, such as singing training, is an increasingly popular pulmonary rehabilitation program that has improved respiratory muscle status in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, variations in singing treatment protocols have led to inconsistent clinical outcomes.
Objective: This study aims to explore the content of vocalization training for patients with COPD by observing differences in respiratory muscle activation across different vocalization tasks.
Ballet shows numerous physiological benefits for dancers, with adaptations in posture, power, strength, stamina, and balance. The recent study from Simpkins and Yang (2024) showed 45% of ballet-trained dancers experienced a fall during a standing-slip perturbation, compared with 82.6% of non-dancers; along with shorter step latencies, durations, and speeds, which were accompanied by shorter electromyographic latencies in several leg muscles.

Background: Chronic ankle instability (CAI) has been associated with neuromuscular control dysfunction, particularly of the peroneal musculature.
Research Question: How do neuromuscular characteristics of the peroneal muscles, including corticospinal excitability, strength, proprioception (force sense) and electromyographic measures differ in individuals with CAI compared to healthy control counterparts aged 18-45?
Methods: A systematic review with meta-analysis was conducted by retrieving relevant articles from electronic databases including EBSCOhost (CINAHL Complete, AMED, SPORTDiscus), Ovid (MEDLINE, Embase), Web of Science, Scopus and Cochrane Library as well as Grey literature sources. The eligibility and methodological quality of the included case-control and cross-sectional studies were assessed by two reviewers.
