Laparoscopic cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis carries an increased risk of biliovascular injuries. Fluorescence cholangiography (FC) is a valuable diagnostic tool for identifying extrahepatic bile ducts (EHBD). The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of FC in delineating EHBD anatomy, both before and after dissection, based on the critical view of safety (CVS) principles.

Cardiogenic shock with bradycardia due to beta-blockers is well-documented; however, this condition in association with arotinolol is unreported. We present a case of cardiogenic shock resulting from delayed arotinolol clearance caused by bile duct obstruction. A man in his 60s presented to our hospital with jaundice.

A 31-year-old female patient was diagnosed with symptoms such as nausea, increased liver enzymes, and right upper quadrant pain for about a year. The parasite was detected in the common bile duct by Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and removed by Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP).

Background: To evaluate the feasibility, safety, and efficiency of a novel technique for the diagnosis and treatment of inspissated bile syndrome (IBS) in infants: transumbilical single-trocar laparoscopic-assisted cholangiography with a single intraoperative procedure bile duct lavage (TUSLC).
Methods: This was a prospective cohort study. All infants with IBS admitted to West China Hospital between January 2015 and January 2023 were included in this study.

Introduction: The morphology of the major papilla plays a crucial role in the selection of the cannulation method for the common bile duct during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Nevertheless, there is limited evidence available that compares the efficacy and safety of cannulation approaches in certain papilla morphologies. The aim of this study was to assess the safety and effectiveness of 2 cannulation methods, including primary needle-knife fistulotomy (pNKF) and standard transpapillary (STP), in patients with long-size papilla.
